Write a descriptive paragraph, describing what is going on around you. Don't forget to use your senses: I see, hear, feel, smell, taste..
Remember it is NOT a story! You don't need a plot. Your writing should be a snapshot of a moment in time.
As agreed, the success criteria for the paragraph is: - One sentence beginning with an adverb OR verb - <5 adjectives - A variety of sentences - short (simple) and longer (compound and complex)
EXAMPLE: The air was hazy, a red mist thrown up from the blood that was spilt. The red mist and the blue sky meeting, combining until the sky, too, was red. We were being slaughtered. The smell of blood hit me, the adrenaline fading fast from my system. Suddenly, I could hear the screams of the dying men, the sound of the guns going off and cannon fire stunning me briefly in it's intensity.
